Field of work
As a researcher and teacher, I work in health promotion and public health, mental health, user participation and interaction. My publications can be found here: Google Scholar
In the research and innovation project NorseImpact, I am renting the work package Responsive and resposible research and innovation with service user participation (Pilot Health, NFR).
To utilize research results for teaching and professional development, I developed and digitized a learning resource: Active Clinical Reflection. This is an exercise in reflecting in action in clinical meetings, designed for group work. The target groups are experienced clinicians/master's students in health and medicine who work on an outpatient basis. We use research-based film about follow-up at the bariatric outpatient clinic, and key principles to stimulate reflection. Professional footwear players and film production have ensured the quality of the material. The digital resource is created in collaboration with Medielab, tested, and ready for use in teaching and professional development, without facilitation from developers. Get in touch if they want to try! We have good experience with Active Clinical Reflection as a facilitated and physical workshop, where we with teachers adapt the program to the relevant student group and the local learning environment.
I teach and guide students on the master's programs in Interaction and Public Health, the master's programs in Clinical Physiotherapy, and the PhD program Health, Function and Participation in HVL. Furthermore, I collaborate on research and correction of PhD candidates at UiB and NTNU.
