Field of work
Leslie S.P. Eide has Bachelor degrees in Gerontology and in Nursing, and a Master degree in Gerontology. She completed her PhD training at the University of Bergen and defended her PhD thesis in 2016. Eide is interested in the aging process and the care of older adults under different contexts. Her clinical practice involves varied geriatric settings in the United States and in Norway. She has teaching experience with graduate and undergraduate students and is currently working as Associate professor at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. Eide's PhD project is linked to the "Delirium in octogenarians undergoing cardiac surgery or intervention (CARDELIR) study", focusing on postoperative delirium in patients with severe aortic stenosis and in need of surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) or transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). Selected Publications Eide LS, Ranhoff AH, Fridlund B, Haaverstad R, Hufthammer KO, Kuiper KK, Nordrehaug JE, Norekvål TM; CARDELIR Investigators.
