Velaug Myrseth Oltedal
Field of work
I have a PhD in physical chemistry, and have worked as a researcher within various fields. My competence spans from nanotechnology to petroleum (drilling and wells), and green energy. Current research interests are hydrogen, and green and renewable energy. Ongoing research activities include feasibility of hydrogen production from offshore wind, storage methods, production of hydrogen from trapped power, and electrolysis using salt water.
I teach a class in Hydrogen technology, supervise student projects (bachelor, master and PhD) and have the overall responsibility for the continuing education courses that HVL offers in hydrogen.
I am center deputy for FME HyValue, a research center within hydrogen and hydrogenbased energycarriers, where I also hold the position as Innovation and Exploitation Manager. You may find more information on HyValue here: HyValue
