Field of work
Alexander is a PhD Research Fellow in Innovation Studies at HVL Business School.
He is enrolled in the doctoral programme: 'Responsible Innovation and Regional Development' (RESINNREG), with a particular focus on the integration and segregation of immigrants, from both an economic and political standpoint.
He has an MSc in International Economics and Finance from Newcastle University Business School (UK), with a thesis title: 'The Representation of Women in Corporate Leadership and Firm Performance: A Study of Swedish Firms'.
His other areas of interest include: Public sector innovation (policy, political), economic psychology, cultural sector economics, and the UN SDGs - where he is currently co-ordinating research on the implentation of a plastic bottle deposit system in South Africa (SDG 14).
Alexander is also a member of the RESINNREG programme committee, as the elected PhD Student Representative (2023-25), and sits in the General Assembly and Executive Committee of the Nordic Research School in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NORSI), as their elected PhD student representative (2024-26).
