Field of work

My area of ​​responsibility and interest covers Research Ethics, Data Protection in research and Data Management in all phases of a research project. Together with colleagues in IT, HVL librarie and the Data Protection Officer at HVL, the goal is to provide effective and targeted information and services for research. In addition, we work with NSD, REK and National Research Ethics Committees to ensure the quality of advice related to the Data Protection and Researh Ethics.

The department is responsible for coordinating training in Research Ethics and Data Protection in research for researchers and supervisors at HVL, and the need for internal training or teaching can be reported to me or forskingsetikk@hvl.no. In collaboration with sikresiden.no, HVL will offer employees and students access to the "Personvernspillet" (mobile phone app) as part of the basic training in privacy for researchers, employees and students.

I am the secretary of the research ethics committee. 

Academic background: Cand.polit (Administration and Organizational Science) from the University of Bergen (2002).

Experience: Senior Data Protection Advicer for research at NSD from 2007 until I started at HVL in the autumn of 2019. At NSD I was responsible for internal and external training in Data Protection in research, assessment of projects and I have participated in European collaborations in privacy and data management through CESSDA and CLARIN.
