Field of work
SKILLS: *NURSING *PUBLIC HEALTH *MIGRATION RESEARCH *PRACTICE RESEARCH
As nurse and public health nurse my interest is in public health education and research. Public health engages me both globally and locally.
Within my teaching and research, I focus on the older peoples’ health from an ageing and migration perspective. In addition, I am interested in opportunities for academia to collaborate with practice. An exciting field of collaboration is the co-creation of education between academia and practice. Offering students opportunities for interesting learning is important. Therefore, my approach to teaching and research is to allow the persons to use their resources.
I teach master students in public health, health promotion and advanced clinical general nurses in community health care.
Norwegian Forum for Global Health Research and COST-networks, 'NET4Age-Friendly' and 'Ethics in dementia' involves me internationally.
