Field of work

I teach English literature and culture at HVL Bergen. I am a specialist in Middle English literature by training and an active researcher in that field. My broader interests include aesthetics and theories of the image (including film and moving images), translation (especially in the medieval North Atlantic), and the history of English literature as a subject in Norwegian schools.
