Janne Bjorheim Bøe

As Head of Office at the Center for Care Research, West (SOFV), Bøe is responsible for the employees, the economy of the center's research projects and management of daily operations. She is part of the faculty's management group and is central in the collaboration with the other partners in Alrek Health Cluster. Furthermore, Bøe is cloesly following the center's research project and research applications, as well as international partners.

 

 

 

The Center for Care Research, West is responsible for parts of HVL's initiative Technology in Health and Care (THOM). We coordinate the work with, and in, the E-healt arena HVL and run the annual conference on the same topic. Bøe also participates in the management group of the project E-health Vestland. 

 

 

 

Bøe holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Bergen and wrote a monograph entiteled "Women and Work - Money and Gifts. The Dynamics of Gendered Economic Adaptations in the Occupied Palestinian Territories." She has also conducted research in the Norwegian context, one example being economic gender equality in Norwegian families. In the years preceding her start up at SOFV Bøe worked as an adviser for research and dissemination at various research centres at UiB.
