Karl-Gunnar has a MSc in Business, Regional Economics and Innovation from the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. The title of his master thesis is "The potential for local population growth and expanded labour market area as a result of the Sauda tunnel".
His PhD research primarily focuses on commuting patterns and labour market outcomes of immigrants and refugees from different backgrounds.
