Oddvar Førland is a profressor and a researcher at Centre for Care Research, Western Norway, at Faculty of Health and Social Sciences. Førland is the chief editor of the Journal for Care Research/Tidsskrift for omsorgsforskning (Scandinavian University Press).
Førland has comprehensive experience in long-term care research since 2005 and competence and experience both in qualitative and quantitative methods. He has led and participated in several projects directed by the Research Council of Norway, ministries, directorates, and municipalities.
