Associate Professor

Per Øystein Sakariassen

Field of work

I have a background in cancer research from the University of Bergen where I researched malignant brain cancer. Furthermore, I graduated from UiB in 2001 with the title "The Development of Angiostatin Secreting Cell Lines for the Therapy of Gliomas". In 2007 I did my dissertation at UiB where the title of the dissertation was "Cancer Stem Cells and Angiogenesis in Brain Tumors - Biological Mechanisms During Tumor Progression".

Qualifications:

Molecular biological techniques such as RT-PCR, Western blot and immunocyto/-histochemistry. Cell biology, cell culture, tumor biology, experimental animals course class C. Anatomy and physiology.

I also work professionally with photo/video, live-streaming and 3D graphics.
