Academic Search Elite is a resource spanning a broad stretch of academic subjects with thousands of full-text journals and abstracted and indexed journals. 

It is a digital library of full-text archive provided by the Association of Computer Machinery (ACM) in computer science subjects. It contains about 1,400 scientific journal tittles and about 20,000 conference proceedings. It covers publications from ACM and its partners, which goes back to 1954.

The Allied and Complementary Medicine Database (AMED) is a unique bibliographic database produced by the Health Care Information Service of the British Library. It covers a selection of journals in complementary medicine, palliative care, and several professions allied to medicine. Database coverage is from the mid-1980s to present.

Anatomical/physiological tool with interactive 3D models, animations and videos.

Current information regarding child welfare and family counseling. The database contains journals, research reports and legal requirements. It also provides guidance and advice developed by recognized specialists. Resources can be searched for in Norwegian and English.

CINAHL is the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature. It provides nursing and allied health literature and covers a wide range of topics including nursing, biomedicine, health sciences librarianship, alternative/complementary medicine, consumer health and 17 allied health disciplines. In addition, it provides access to health care books, nursing dissertations, selected conference proceedings, standards of practice, audiovisuals, book chapters and more. 

CLARINO covers research data within language studies. 

A set of databases providing high-quality evidence concerning the effects of interventions in treatment and prevention. Best known for the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews.

The DIB database is a tool for knowledge of auditing, accounting, economics and corporate law.

Direktoratet for byggkvalitet (DiBK) is a national resource center for the building industry, and the main agency for implementing building policy. Here you will find bulding acts and regulations.

Mostly in Norwegian. 

Regulations and information on preparedness and emergency planning, fire safety, electrical safety, handling and transport of hazardous substances and product and consumer safety. DSB reports to the Ministry of Justice and Public Security. Most content in Norwegian, some in English.

It provides research publications and technology in the area of maritime, oil and gas and energy from Det Norske Veritas. The collection consists of documents on regulations for the classification ships, offshore codes, and certification standards and guidelines.

This database contains also IACS (Unified Requirements and Commons Structural - Rules for Oil Tankers and Bulk Carriers), IOM/ILO conventions and IMO Vega database (SOLAS, MARPOL, Loadline).

Ebooks from Ebsco. Covers various subjects, but for the time it only has a limited amount of books. You can read the book online, or download it to your computer for a week.  

Biomedical and pharmacological database containing bibliographic records from biomedical articles in peer reviewed journals. Especially strong in its coverage of drug and pharmaceutical research. Database coverage is from the mid-1970s to present.

Emerald Insight provides full-text access to articles from over 300 journals from the publisher Emerald. The majority of the journals are in economics with titles in e.g. accounting, management, marketing, tourism and real estate.

It contains the largest bibliographical database within engineering studies known as Compendex. It includes journal articles, conference proceedings, technical reports, etc. but does not provide access to full text document. It records 17 million registered documents in 190 engineering discipline from 73 different countries.

Find SDG Research from Norwegian publications related to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, and, when possible, access the full text. It primarily covers literature that is related to the targets of the SDGs.

Only available in Norwegian. Fysioterapihåndboka contains over 1200 documents and related information about physiotherapy and 125 articles on clinical anatomy. In addition, over 600 videos are available and cover: examinations, manual therapies, strength exercises, stretching, diseases, injuries, anatomy, treatments etc. Fysioterapihåndboka have the same structure and functionalities as NEL.

Google Scholar searches in many academic journal databases at the same time. Some are openly accessible journals and have content from open research archives.

GreenFILE offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. Its collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles includes content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more. The database provides indexing and abstracts for more than 384,000 records, as well as Open Access full text for more than 4,700 records.

IN SUM contains summarized research on the impact of measures on the mental health and welfare of children and young people. You may find relevant systematic overviews from Norway and abroad, as well as summaries of overviews. The website is run by RBUP on behalf of the The Norwegian Directorate of Health and The Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs.

IMO – the International Maritime Organization – is the United Nations specialized agency with responsibility for the safety and security of shipping and the prevention of marine pollution by ships.

Helps you find the proper Norwegian and English vocabulary related to health sciences, using the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) thesaurus. It is also a good source of information to better understand medical terminology in both languages. Microdata is a service from NSD (Norwegian Centre for Research Data) and Statistics Norway. It provides access to register data from Statistics Norway to use in research. Including data on population, education, income, labor market and social security.

Bokhylla.no is a website with digitized books from the National Library of Norway. Books published before the year 2000 are available to the public in Norway.

Students and researchers can apply for access to books that are not openly available. The requirement is that the use must be for research or documentation purposes. To verify this, you must confirm your usage when opening a document.

Note: Students cannot apply for digital access to textbooks for higher education and profession-specific academic literature published in the last 20 years. The classification is based on the publishers' book groups 2.1 and 2.2. The relevant material will be marked in the Online Library.

Approximately 60,000 references related to Nordic petroleum literature from 1974 to 2006. Copies of articles can be ordered via the library.

PhD on Track is a resource for PhD students who are beginning their research career, and who want to learn more about information- and literature for research purposes, and about how to publish research.

Project MUSE is based on a collaboration between libraries and publishers, delivering content in the humanities and social sciences since 1995. The library subscribes to the Humanities Collection package, which includes approximately 230 journals.

re3data has the most comprehensive source of reference for research data infrastructures globally. Data repositories from every domain and in every country can be browsed by subject, country, or content type.

British online database of information on all aspects of social work and social care. It includes legislation, government documents, practice and guidance, systematic reviews, research briefings, UK grey (informally-published) literature, books, text books and journal articles.

SocINDEX offers comprehensive coverage of sociology, encompassing all sub-disciplines and closely related areas of study. In addition to nearly 900 full-text journals SocINDEX also contains informative abstracts for more than 1,500 "core" coverage journals dating as far back as 1895.

SOR Digital+ features lectures on various aspects of services for individuals with developmental disabilities, recorded at Stiftelsen SOR's national conferences up to 5 years ago. The portal is particularly relevant for social work, but also for other professions providing services to children, youth, adults, and the elderly within this target group.

HUNT is one of the largest health studies ever performed. It is a unique database of questionnaire data, clinical measurements and samples from the county’s 120,000 inhabitants from 1984 and onwards.

Traditionally, their main focus has been on science, but the coverage of social sciences, arts and humanities is improving. The bases contain information about articles, journals and citations, and provide the opportunity to connect information and search citing and cited articles.

Web of Science can also be used to analyze citations, and calculate bibliometric indicators such as h-index for authors, and journal impact factor.
