Project summary

The research project “Pedagogikk og pedagogikkvitenskap” aims to discuss, expand and renew the discipline of “pedagogikk”, whilst making the discipline relevant for the field of practice, the new five-year teacher education programme, and the PhD.-programme (Bildung and pedagogical practices). The participants of the project contribute with different perspectives on “pedagogikk”, i.e., perspectives which give room for a school that connects the pupils to life itself, beyond a school that only creates contact with an abstract world. Another objective is to get away from the common idea that “pedagogikk” is a hyphen discipline, in which “pedagogikk” is considered a supplement to philosophy, psychology, sociology, history etc. The project will be published as an anthology, with Prof. Dr. Herner Saeverot and Prof. Dr. Tobias C. Werler as editors.
