Ruth Conroy Dalton
Professor Ruth Conroy Dalton is the Founding Professor of Architecture and Head of Lancaster University's new School of Architecture. She has taught previously at the Architectural Association, London, the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA, the Bartlett School of Architecture, London and Northumbria University at Newcastle. Ruth Conroy Dalton’s research interests are centred around the relationship between the spatial design of buildings and environments and their effect on how people understand and interact in those spaces. She is an expert in space syntax analysis, architectural and spatial cognition and pedestrian movement/wayfinding.
