We suggest that our conference participants take advantage of accommodation offers that we have at the hotel Scandic Ørnen, or at the hotel City Box at Danmarksplass (less expensive option).

The conference dinner on Thursday night will take place at the top floor restaurant at the Scandic Ørnen hotel.

Location
The hotel is located approximately halfway between the city center and the Kronstad campus where the conference is held, easily accessable with Bybanen (light rail) or by foot (15 minutes). Please find information about transport options here.

From Bergen Airport to HVL Campus Kronstad and city center
From Bergen Airport (Flesland) the light rail called 'Bybanen' goes to the city centre, and passes HVL Campus Kronstad and Danmarksplass on its way. The trip with Bybanen takes 35 minutes to Kronstad and 45 minutes to the city centre.

There are airport buses running between the airport and the city centre as well. These do not stop at the campus. A ticket with the airport bus costs approximately 100 NOK.

A taxi from Bergen Airport takes approximately 20 minutes to HVL Campus Kronstad and 25 minutes to the city center, depending on traffic.

From the city centre and the hotels
The easiest way to get to HVL Campus Kronstad from the city center, and both Hotel Scandic Ørnen and Hotel Citybox Danmarksplass, is to take the light rail, "Bybanen". The HVL Campus Kronstad stop is called Kronstad.

The light rail stop closest to the Hotel Scandic Ørnen is called Nygård light rail stop, and is located 100 meters from the Hotel. 

The light rail stop closest to Hotel Citybox Danmarksplass is called Danmarksplass. (Only ones top away from HVL Campus Kronstad in the direction to the airport).

It takes about 15 minutes to walk between Danmarksplass and HVL Campus Kronstad.
