Agreement and Admission period
Decisions on admission are made by the programme committee and based on an overall assessment of the application. The decision will i.a. appoint the main supervisor and establish the start and end dates of the agreement period.
Applications for admission to doctoral education will be processed in accordance with “Guidelines for assessment of applications to doctoral education at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences”.
Admission to the university college’s PhD education is formalised when the PhD candidate, supervisor(s) and dean sign the written agreement. The agreement regulates the parties’ rights and obligations in the admission period. It is the responsibility of the PhD candidate to complete the agreement and get the necessary signatures.
Candidates who are admitted to PhD education will receive information about the Agreement on admission to the PhD programme at HVL and will be given a deadline for submitting a signed agreement.
