We emphasize developing independence so that our students take responsibility for their own learning. Excursions and guest lectures are also included in the study program.
In courses where there are mandatory assignments (submissions or laboratory exercises), these must be approved for students to be allowed to take the exam. In several of the courses, assignments are carried out using computer tools. All students must have their own laptop computer. The study program has a strong focus on computer-supported learning.
The teaching is mainly conducted in Norwegian.
Assessment
The forms of assessment that are used are, among others, written school examinations, home exams or folder assessments. There may also be a combination of several forms of assessment, such as home exams and school examinations. In many of the courses, there are mandatory work requirements that must be approved in order for the student to be able to take the exam in the course. The grading scale consists of the letter grades A-F or passed/not passed. See the course information for each course to get accurate information on the type of assessment chosen.
