Contents and structure
The course is intended to give insight into educational work in kindergartens and schools, with the focus on ICT in learning.
Theme group 1: ICT in learning activities
The following themes are central:
- Digital childhood and youth
- Digital learning environments and digital upbringing
- The school's digital situation
- Digital bullying
Theme group 2: Design of digital learning processes
The following themes are central:
- Pupil and teacher roles in digital learning environments
- Structures and mechanisms in social media
- Social media in learning activities
- ICT and pupil evaluation
- Curricular theory

Knowledge
The student
- has detailed knowledge about children's and young people's upbringing and learning in the media society
- has detailed knowledge of the use of social media
Skills
The student
- can analyse new challenges that children and young people encounter in the media society
- can analyse and evaluate digital learning resources for use in kindergartens and schools
General competence
The student
- can reflect on and consider the use of ICT in a holistic educational context
- displays an ability for independent critical evaluation and professional ethical reflection in relation to ICT in learning
- can develop and strengthen collaboration in the development of a good learning environment for children and young people

Work methods: Lectures, meetings, individual and collective guidance, internet-based resources, work on folder assignments and collaboration.
