PSYK6102 Organization of Services for People with Mental Illness and the Professional Foundation
Course description for academic year 2017/2018
Contents and structure
The course centers on knowledge of how society, through public, private and voluntary support systems, meet people with mental illnesses, and how the mental health services can be organised in the future. Interdisciplinary cooperation in order to promote health and processes of improvement is central to the course. Furthermore, the course will focus on the background and consequences of the decentralisation of the services, emphasising the user's cooperation and coping. Special emphasis will be given to how knowledge about mental illnesses and methods of treatment are developed and acquired, including scientific theory trends and methods.

- is able to analyse and assess the framework conditions for mental health work on different levels
- is able to analyse and critically assess the basis for research and knowledge development in mental health work
