Course description for academic year 2017/2018

Contents and structure

Knowledge elements in the subject link the individual-project / group organization levels. Organization, management and management as a challenge in projects are rooted in general subjects of organization, change and learning, project management tools and theory of leadership styles and leadership roles. Groups, teams and team development processes.

Learning Outcome

On completion of the course, the student should be able to:

Knowledge:

  • Have knowledge of the history, traditions, characteristics of the project work in the community
  • Understand the importance of organization and management in project work
  • Be able to explain key themes, theories, issues, processes, tools and methods within project work
  • Explain the project work process from start-up to final
  • Learn how to update their knowledge of the importance of organization and management in project work
  • Have broad knowledge of the importance of teamwork in projects

Skills:

  • Develop project ideas, plan and follow up of projects
  • Reflect on your own professional practice and adjust it under supervision
  • Be able to find, evaluate and refer to information and subject matter and present this so that it highlights a problem within project work
  • Be able to master relevant professional tools, techniques and expressions in project work
  • Report, analyze and evaluate project work

General competence:

  • Plan and carry out varied work tasks and projects that extend over time, alone and as a participant in a group, and in line with ethical standards
  • Communicate key project subjects such as theories, issues and solutions both in writing, verbally and through other relevant forms of expression
  • Be able to exchange views and experiences with others with a background in project work and thereby contribute to the development of good practice
  • Knowing new thinking and innovation processes and how project work can be part of this.

Teaching methods

Varies between lectures, group work and practical exercises

Compulsory learning activities

  • 2 mandatory work requirements that must be approved before the candidate can attend the exam
  • Approved work requirements are valid in the exam semester and a subsequent semester

Assessment

Group-based project report with a group-wide oral exam.

The grade of the semester assignment can be adjusted up or down one grade by a group-wide oral exam.

Grade A-F.

If a student gets the grade F, the subject is not approved for the student.
