Course description for academic year 2018/2019
Contents and structure
The course further develops the teacher's core tasks in class management and planning and implementation and evaluations of varied forms of teaching.
Academic and professional didactics in current and historical perspectives are key this semester. Assessments of learning, basic skills and learning strategies are also important.

Knowledge
- Has in-depth didactic and pedagogical knowledge for the relevant years
- Has broad knowledge about learning strategies, learning arenas and work methods, both generally and specifically for the relevant subjects
Skills
- Can plan, implement and reflect on teaching based on research and development work and experience-based knowledge
- Can lead and facilitate educational plans that lead to good disciplinary and social learning processes
- Can use varied work methods, differentiate and adapt teaching in line with applicable curricula, and create motivating and inclusive learning environments
- Can describe the characteristics of competence, assess and document pupils' learning, provide feedback that promotes learning and contribute to pupils' ability to reflect on their own learning and disciplinary development
General competence
- Can convey pedagogical and didactic issues at an advanced level
- Has a professional attitude and can critically reflect on disciplinary issues, professional ethics and disciplinary and educational policy questions

Teaching methods
Teaching is group-based and will be given in large and small groups. Guidance and follow-up will be given individually and to some extent in small groups.
Compulsory learning activities
Participation in 5 out of 6 assembly days.
Approved written study requirements.
