Course description for academic year 2018/2019

Contents and structure

The course provides insight into ethics of care and the base values. The student will orientate himself in theory formulation within health and caring ethics and relate it to specific clinical problems.

Learning Outcome

Knowledge:

The Student:

  • has comprehensive knowledge of current research and development of theory within the field of health and caring ethics.

 

Skills:

The Student:

  • is able to discuss ethical and existential questions  by means of ethical theory.

 

General Competence:

The Student:

  • is able to employ health and caring ethics in his clinical activities.
  • is able to think creatively within health and caring ethics in connection with the health and social services.

Teaching methods

Lectures, literature studies, tutorials, seminars based on dialogue, teamwork, exercises and project-based studies on campus and/or digitally.
