Contents and structure

The class discusses mathematical topics and methods particular relevant for renewable energy. There are: differentiation, integration, linear optimization, differential equations in systems relevant for renewable energy, linear equations and Gaussian elimination.

Knowledge

Students gain knowledge on the following mathematical topics: differentiation, integration, linear optimization, differential equations in systems relevant for renewable energy, Gaussian elimination.

Skills

Students are able to solve problems that are relevant to renewable energy, differentiation, integration, linear optimization, differential equations, Gaussian elimination.

Students have competence in how  to use differentiation, integration, linear optimization, differential equations in renewable energy, Gaussian elimination.

Teaching methods

Lectures and exercises.

Compulsory learning activities

Twelve (12) written exercises connected to the course's mathematical themes. Ten of twelve exercises must be approved (passed) before one may take the exam.

Assessment

Written school exam, 4 hours.

Grading scale A-F, where F represents a fail.
