LEI105 Cadastral Surveying

Contents and structure

In this course, the students will apply basic knowledge of relevant principles of land surveying. The basic knowledge will be applied on cadastral surveying. Both planning and fieldwork will be emphasized through practical tasks.

The field observations will be post-processed, and the results will be documented according to the standards issued by the Norwegian Mapping Authorities.

• Control and calibration of surveying instruments  
• Planning of field observations  
• Applied satellite surveying with post-processing  
• Cadastral law and by-law  
• Control of transformed coordinates in the cadastre  
• The standard "Geodatastandarden" with relevant sub-standards 
• Adjustment computation, blunder detection and reliability analysis  
• Interpretation of computational reports and preparation of documentation
