Contents and structure

"Eco Global Operational Management" is a course focusing on integrating economic sustainability into operational management within a global context. It emphasizes understanding fundamental economic principles and their application to promote sustainable practices in supply chain management, including logistics, inventory control, and supplier relationships. The course explores how operations can be adapted to reduce environmental impact, such as resource waste and emissions. It also includes the study of how modern technology, like automation and data analytics, can be used to enhance efficiency and sustainability. Ethical and social responsibility in a global context are also key themes, along with developing analytical skills, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making.

Teaching methods

Classroom teaching and assignment seminars combined with group work. Group-based guidance as needed.

  • 2 group-based compulsory work requirement (semester assignments) must be passed before an examination can be taken.

A total of 4 compulsory work requirements

Assessment

Individual oral examination of 15 minutes where you will be asked questions from the syllabus that test your knowledge and your ability to apply this knowledge in various contexts.

However, it is always useful to be able to link theories and concepts from the syllabus to practical examples, such as the work you have done in your semester assignment. This can help demonstrate a deeper understanding of the subject
