Contents and structure

This subject encompasses the process of managing and coordinating knowledge and information in all aspects of the supply chain. This includes gathering, analyzing, sharing, and utilizing knowledge to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain processes.

Learning Outcome

Knowledge

  • Students will understand the process of managing and coordinating knowledge in the supply chain, including the collection, analysis, sharing, and utilization of knowledge.
  • The ability to explain concepts and principles of knowledge management and how they are applied in supply chain management.
  • Recognize and understand the importance of knowledge systems such as ERP in supply chains.
  • Able to reproduce and apply methods for data analysis and decision support in the supply chain.
  • Be familiar with strategies for effective documentation and sharing of knowledge.
  • Define key terms within risk management and knowledge management in supply chains.
  • Explain how knowledge management supports sustainable practices and innovation in supply chain management.
  • Identify ethical and legal aspects of handling information and knowledge in supply chains.

Teaching methods

Classroom teaching and assignment seminars combined with group work. Group-based guidance as needed.

Assessment

Written school exam, 4 hours
