Assistant Professor

Ann-Kristin Nilsen

Field of work

I teach at the 5-year education 'Teacher Education in Practical and Aesthetic Subjects for Grades 1-13,  Physical Education and Sports', at campus Bergen.

My teaching primarily falls within the fields of sports psychology and sports pedagogy, focusing on student and athlete learning and skill development. My particular interest lies in exploring how learning environments and structures influence learners' development and performance.

From a physical education perspective, I am particularly interested in the relationship between teaching practice, learning and assessment.

In my PhD project, I take a closer look at player development in top clubs, where the purpose is to investigate how models for player development are designed and facilitated to safeguard and shape the development of young talented football players in Norway.
