I am Associate Professor in Educational Sciences, specialised in the History of Education. I support the Research Cluster "Critical and Practice-Oriented Educational Research" and teach on the Ph.D. programme "Studies of Bildung and Pedagogical Practices".

I am Link Convenor of Network 17, Histories of Education of the European Conference for Educational Research (ECER) of the European Educational Research Association (EERA).

I am Special Section Editor for the journal History of Education (Taylor and Francis), responsible for the feature section Workspace: Dialogues, Iterations, Provocations.

I am Principal Investigator on the research project Ph.D. Engage: Factors Influencing Ph.D. Experience and Completion in the Programme Studies on Bildung and Pedagogical Practices (Co-Investigator: Solvejg Jobst).

I have recently contributed to the following research project: PIONEERED (Horizon 2020): Pioneering Policies and Practices Tackling Educational Inequalities in Europe​​​​ --- Website: www.pioneered-project.eu (HVL work package leader: Solvejg Jobst).
