Field of work

I am a PhD-candidate within the realm of history didactics. My research is centered on democracy- and citizenship education at memorial sites and sites of traumatic events. In my project, I explore student perspectives on the educational activities at Utøya today, with the aim of ganing insight in their historical consciousness and reflections on the role of July 22nd in past, present and future society. At the same time the project aspires to uncover the role and function of emotion in education at sites of trauma and atrocitices.
