Solveig Marie Borgund

Field of work

I am a political scientist with a Ph.D. from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences and the doctoral program Studies of Bildung and Pedagogical Practices. I also hold a master's degree from the Department of Administration and Organization Theory at the University of Bergen. My research interests are Early childhood education and care (ECEC), higher education, and public administration and politics. 

The title of my Ph.D. thesis is "Reforming Norwegian Kindergarten Teacher Education—Between National Standards and Institutional Autonomy." The project is a policy design study that examines the reform of kindergarten teacher education in 2012.
