Sustainable Building Environments

In the research group "Sustainable Building Environments", we work on solutions that can reduce the climate footprint of the construction industry.

Our built environment represents enormous societal values. At the same time, the construction industry accounts for high shares of society's resource use, waste production, energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. When the built environment is designed according to the sustainability principles, they lay the foundation for good health and quality of life, the lowest possible use of resources and good profitability for society, business and private individuals.
