Arbeids- og kompetanseområde
- Jeg er søvnforsker og fysiolog/nevrofysiolog og forsker på fysiologiske- og cellebiologiske mekanismer som endres etter søvnmangel, forskjøvet søvn og simulert nattskiftarbeid. Jeg underviser i fagene anatomi, fysiologi og histologi samt cellebiologi der jeg ønsker å få studentene til å forstå fysiologiske- og cellebiologiske mekanismer og sammenhenger og kunne utrykke dette godt særlig skriftlig. Jeg har undervist og veiledet bachelor, master og PhD-studenter i pågående forskningsprosjekt siden 2002 der biologiske markører måles i ulike kroppsvæsker som blod og spytt/saliva etter søvnmangel og andre fenotyper av stress på kroppen.
