Tine Grieg Viig

Arbeids- og kompetanseområde

Tine Grieg Viig er førsteamanuensis i musikkpedagogikk på Institutt for kunstfag, Fakultet for lærerutdanning, kultur og idrett ved Høgskulen på Vestlandet. Hun har en PhD i musikkpedagogikk fra Griegakademiet, Fakultet for kunst, musikk og design ved Universitetet i Bergen, og arbeider for tiden som postdoktor i det NFR-finansierte prosjektet Music Teacher Education for the Future (FUTURED).

Grieg Viig har musikkpedagogisk utdannelse, og har i tillegg til sin stilling ved Høgskulen på Vestlandet også arbeidet som komponist og kordirigent. Med utgangspunkt i jazzens historiefortellende tilnærming, utforsker hun tette og åpne soniske rom, som kan være både harmoniske og dissonerende, eksperimentelle og konforme, med fokus på hvordan homogene klanger og polyfone linjer kan ta form i et stadig skiftende lydlandskap. Som forsker og lærerutdanner er hun spesielt interessert i skapende arbeid med musikk, post-kritisk musikkpedagogikk, og hvordan digitale verktøy kan gi nye innfallsvinkler til musikkutdanning i det 21. århundre.

In 2014, DATES for the first time received institutional funding as a research group (for a 3-year period). The group’s focus is now on original arrangements and compositions for jazz voices, and documentation of artistic development.
