Arbeids- og kompetanseområde

Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical- and Marine Engineering. PhD in Aeronautical Engineering was received in the area of aerodynamics and control of tailless aircraft from the Department of Aeronautical and Vehicle Engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden. Experimental testing in the L2000 low-speed wind tunnel at KTH combined with theoretical modeling are skills that are compatible with the present needs in the marine research field in Bergen. At the new Kronstad Campus in Bergen, the towing tank facility MarinLab has been upgraded with a new wave generator (regular and irregular spectra) and towing carriage. In addition, motion capture cameras are installed for analysing the motion of vessels and different objects in waves. Keywords: Vehicle dynamics and control, real-time control, aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, flight mechanics, aeroelasticity, experiments in towing tank and wind tunnel facility.
