I am working as an Associate Professor in department of business administration at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. Previously I worked as a researcher with the renewable energy research group at the department of engineering and natural sciences at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. Prior to joining HVL, I worked as associate tutor in marketing at the faculty of management & law, University of Surrey, UK, and as Assistant Professor in the department of business & economics at Richmond American International University in London. I was an affiliate researcher in division of industrial marketing & e-commerce at Lulea University of Technology, Sweden (2009-2011). I received Ph.D in marketing and e-commerce from Luleå University of Technology, Sweden and received Msc. in marketing and e-commerce from the same school. My PhD work was on government e-service delivery, particularly in the area of online tax services. Prior to which I completed MBA from the department of management studies at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
I have taught several courses at bachelor and masters levels, which include consumer behavior, research methods, strategy, strategic communication, and human resource management. My research interests are related to consumer behaviour; motivation, attitude and behaviour in experiential consumption; social media and business transformation; government e-service delivery; market adoption of renewable energy. Some of the projects I was involved in are: transforming author museums (TRAUM), a Norwegian research council funded project; strategisk forskningsprogram i innovasjon og verdiskaping i reiselivet at the department of business administration at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences; renewable energy, innovation and regional development (INU) at the department of engineering and natural sciences at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences.
